By this December, an FCC regulatory deadline means broadcasters will be required to include Carrier ID (CID) in all video transmissions
Carrier ID is absolutely essential for satellite operators to quickly identify the source of an interfering transmission. The regulation is therefore a serious triumph for those of us working towards eliminating interference.
At the same time, we recognise the difficulty of preparing for the deadline; ensuring all equipment is suitable and briefing engineers all takes time and can involve expenditure.
That’s why we’ve organised a CID Masterclass at this year’s IBC Show in Amsterdam between the 15th – 19th of September.
The aims of the masterclass are to:
- Outline the importance of adopting Carrier ID for all video transmissions
- Clarify what exactly the FCC Regulation requires of broadcasters
- Advise how best to prepare for the deadline
One masterclass will be held daily at a time and place to be confirmed. In the meantime, if you are interested in attending, please register using the form below and we will contact you nearer the show to offer you a selection of date and time slots.
IBC show is always a hive of activity, and the IRG team is looking forward to meeting with all of our industry peers once again.
More information surrounding IRG’s activities at the event will be released shortly. For now, if you would like to book a meeting with us at the show, please contact us.
See you in Amsterdam!
